I’ve been in a relationship for three years. three years of hard times, fights and the best memories that you could imagine. but I have a low self esteem and am plagued with doubt. My depression convinces me i have no worth and i am sure he is getting exhausted of it. I want sex more than him, of course he doesn’t with the mess i am, but to me it says I’m not attractive. I’m lost

My junior year of high school I had an insane crush on this girl at a nearby school. We were very good friends and hung out a lot. Got along famously. I wanted desperately to date her and she was really evasive every time I asked her about that sort of thing, so I accepted the fact that I had been friend zone’d. We stayed extremely close best friends for three years, and then I started dating my current girlfriend. I stopped hanging out with this girl altogether, because she started acting very clingy and was making my current GF uncomfortable.
Now, after having dated my current GF for almost 2 years, the old girl contacted me and confessed her undying love for me, and begged me to be with her. Too little too late.

I was in love with a girl that decided to go do other things. 7 years later I had been married and divorced, to a different gal. That was the point I finally began to get over my first love. At that point, she calls me and tells me she was totally in love with me. “no” I say. I didn’t think she was being honest. I thought she was just reaching out for familiarity. I still thought about her a lot. Finally. 15 years later. 6 or so relationships later. We are together. She is every bit as awesome as I remember. She didn’t become an unreal projection. We’ve been together a year now. I can’t even consider being with anyone else.

I met a girl once. Never dated her. Only talked to her a couple of times. Probably spent no more than 1 hour total in her presence. She had a boyfriend/fiance. But when I was near her and we talked to one another I felt something. Like being plugged into a light socket. For at least 1 hour or more after I had been near her I couldn’t sit or think straight and I lost my appetite.
It’s been at least 4 years since I last saw her. I’ve moved twice (across the world) – I’ve traveled for months through Europe. I’ve met well over 100 women; many of them more physically attractive than this girl. But haven’t again had that feeling. Nothing even close.
I don’t idolize her at all. I’m rational and I know she is made of flesh and blood and perhaps she has habits that I would dislike. ...

I had a huge crush on a girl in high school, for probably a year, possibly more. I can’t remember exactly, but it was easily the longest I’ve ever felt such a way about someone unrequitedly. I honestly thought I got over it back then, until I met her again about seven years later, and the feelings came rushing back.
This time around, I pursued her in a way I hadn’t in high school (though I did try then, I guess not hard enough, except I really didn’t have to try all that hard this time around, but I digress), managed to date her, and went on to learn she is quite possibly the single worst human being I’ve ever had the displeasure of knowing personally.

There’s this girl who comes into the place I work. She’s got a boyfriend with whom I’m sort of friendly, and whose dad I’m on pretty friendly terms. So I try not to flirt with her, and I kind of dull my personality down. But we talk for a while every time she comes in.
The girl is amazing. She’s gorgeous, funny, smart and she just exudes warmth. I’ve never met another person where conversation just flows so naturally. I’ve liked this girl for over two years now… and I sort of refuse to make any sort of move or express any sort of interest; even though she does little things that make me think she likes me. In fact, I swear the girl likes me. I’m just kind of a hopeless tool.

Three miserable years I was infatuated with this girl that I was ‘friends’ with, later it became lust. She was a pretty woman but the sex was terrible and now looking back I feel silly for letting myself fall so head over heals for her. We weren’t right for each other at all, but it took time to get over it and meet somebody who actually loved me back.

There is a girl that I had a huge crush on in 7th grade. I never really got over that, but we moved that summer. Then in 9th grade I fell in love with this girl, who hardly knew I existed. I still check her facebook from time to time to see how she’s doing. I do have a girl friend right now.. but I haven’t felt that incredible attraction to anyone but those two girls.

I met her in 6th grade when I moved into a new town. I had literally no friends and she was the girl next door. We gradually began to hang out after school, just shooting hoops in front of my house. I had just started really liking girls and in all honesty she was my first crush.
At that time I was an introverted nerd who played way wayyyy too much Everquest (had a character with over 365 DAYS played). That should give you an idea about how I was around girls. I was completely awkward and to be honest scared out of my wits.
We became really good friends and I was still scared to do anything about it. She would occasionally disappear for months at a time without saying a word and I’d be constantly thinking “What did I do?” “Why did she leave me?” All the sorts of things ...
